Things just got really real, really fast. I got my health forms submitted the first week of November, my visa came through about the same time, and a week later I had my medical clearance. I submitted my flight requests last week and today I got an email with a proposed itinerary. I wrote back with one change and within a few hours it was official.
I leave Friday, January 22 at 5:45pm, arriving in Wellington about 24 hours later on Sunday morning at 8:35am. I’m not really sure what I’m supposed to do with myself after that. Sure, I can fill up my time finding the nearest grocery store and buying myself the supplies that didn’t fit in my suitcase, but then what? It’s a little weird to set up life in a place where you’ll only be for 6 months, so the usual life-setting-up process isn’t quite as necessary. I'm guessing my to-do list will look something like this:
1. sleep
2. groceries
3. phone
4. bank
5. unpack
6. trail running
