Just this week we got information about our Fulbright Orientation in Washington, DC. We arrive Tuesday, August 11th and stay until friday, August 14th. It sounds like our schedule is pretty packed, but we were also given the option of having a family/friend stay with us and join in on two events. Jen and I would love for her to come, but at the moment we’re just not sure if it will work. I’m also wondering if it’s worth it for her, given how busy we’ll be. One thing I need to figure out is how late in the evening is planned out for us.
Since I last wrote, we also had to submit another bio for a NZ publication and get flights figured out for DC. We’ve gotten information about scheduling NZ flights, but I can’t do that until I have my health clearance and I can’t do that until I’m within 6 months of my departure date.
I’ve also learned that there are 7 or 8 others going to NZ at the same time. A few seem to have projects related to mine, so I’m curious to chat with them and see what they’re thinking. Beyond that, everything feels unknown.
